"If you could change one thing about the world what would it be?"

“If I could change one thing in the world, information and education would be available to everybody! So many of the world's problems could be solved by people having accurate, up to date information, so we could all make better informed decisions.”

“If I had the chance to change one thing in the world, it would be to spread awareness and inform others efficiently and effectively. I think that this is central to the societal and political makeup of our country, and could be the way forward to deal with and help the situation of today. I think one thing that we as an international community are hindered by is the fact that misinformation and disinformation are prevalent within the discussions of many areas and topics. These topics are central to the function of the world, and the lack of clarity surrounding them means that there is little chance of these issues being solved or clarified. Thus, I would want to change this as it would open up conversations and then enable a path forward to discuss these issues (such as racism, Islamophobia, poverty and violence) and help heal and progress the current atmosphere of today."

“I would make young people’s voices heard because young people are the future and yet they are often undermined by older generations. It is largely young people who are fighting against climate change whether that be through school strikes or cutting down their own carbon footprint. If young people are our future leaders, future teachers and future scientists, why are we not recognising their potential to create a real and meaningful difference? Yes, we are seeing an improvement in this area - for example, Greta Thunberg is now known around the world for her efforts to raise awareness of climate change - but this isn’t enough. The world may be listening to her, but why are we not seeing any substantial change?"

“It would be that people only have positive thoughts and are optimistic. This is because the world right now is full of so much negativity and hate between people and countries, resulting in war and conflict and the inability to get things done. I truly believe that if everyone’s mindset is positive, humans can work collaboratively to get things done and ultimately improve and impact the world through initiatives such as helping the homeless and those really in need so that we get to a point in 20 or so years where such problems in the world become virtually non-existent, and this all begins with the way we as humans think and act together."
